Meryl is happy that the cooler weather has arrived. First on her holiday list was that the construction at a neighboring octagon wrapped up. She was very put out with her caregivers that she wasn't allowed to 'help' the construction team with their work. From the amount of barking she did, she sure had some very specific ideas about what they were doing, how they were doing it and exactly where the fence line should be. Phew! She was busy supervising, but now that it's over she is catching up on some much needed rest and relaxation.

Meryl is a Vicktory Dog. Though bred to compete in the fighting ring, Meryl, and the dogs rescued from the property of professional football player Michael Vick, went on to become champions of resiliency. Their astonishing courage proved that there's no such thing as "too damaged" or "beyond hope." And that no dog is inherently vicious, no matter her breed or background. An inspirational documentary was made that chronicled the lives of five of the dogs rescued from the Vick property.
