Jake arrived at the Sanctuary in November of 2012 after having some bad experiences in Montana that made him very distrustful of people.
Today you can find Jake playing in a pasture with his equine companions. He has made great progress since those early days. Jake has human friends now, too. He is still skeptical of new people, but if it’s a face he knows, he will amble over to “supervise” the activity.
You can read more about Jake's early days here.
Jake is still looking for a home of his own. He is content and loved here at the Sanctuary, but it’s our hope that a mule-savvy family will come along and see Jake for the gem that he is and take him home.
