Echo is a red-tailed hawk that came to Best Friends many years ago after being found in Salt Lake City. Sadly, one of her wings was damaged beyond repair. Because of her injury, Echo could not be released back into the wild.

Echo has made Wild Friends her home ever since. She lives in a large enclosure and helps visitors at the Sanctuary learn and appreciate native wildlife. She is a willing educator, often posing and shaking her tail feathers in front of the suitably impressed crowd.

But the goal of Wild Friends is to rehabilitate and release injured or orphaned wildlife back into the wild. Echo represents all the creatures saved by their tireless work. Sponsoring Echo helps provide food and veterinary care for Echo, but also for all the animals that Wild Friends helps every day of the year.

Thank you so much for helping Echo and all the animals who were saved and released by the team at Wild Friends!
